How Long Does a Manicure or Pedicure Take? Real Times From a Port St. Lucie Nail Salon

· 6 MIN READ · G SALON & SPA

Short square nails with a white French tip, a real set done at G Salon & Spa in Port St. Lucie

The short answer: at G Salon & Spa a Classic Manicure ($25) is listed at 30 minutes and a Classic Pedicure ($35+) is listed at 30 minutes. Our manicure tiers run 30 to 75 minutes and our pedicure tiers 30 to 90 minutes, and a gel manicure ($35) is listed at 45 to 60 minutes. Tell the front desk how much time you have when you book and they will tell you what fits.

Those are the times printed on our service pages, not a promise for every visit. Nail art, a busy afternoon, or taking off an old set first can add minutes, so the most reliable answer is a quick call to (772) 621-9977 before you come.

How long does a manicure take?

A manicure takes 30 to 75 minutes at our salon, depending on the tier you choose. The tiers are the same basic service with more time spent on massage, treatments and finishing, so a longer time usually means a more relaxed visit rather than a slower technician.

  • Classic Manicure, $25: listed at 30 minutes
  • Herbal Manicure, $35: listed at 45 minutes
  • The Kemes Manicure, $45: listed at 60 minutes
  • VIP Manicure, from $55: listed at 75 minutes
  • Classic gel manicure, $35: listed at 45 to 60 minutes. Gel polish can also be added to any manicure tier for $15.

How long does a pedicure take?

A pedicure takes 30 to 90 minutes. The Classic Pedicure is our shortest at 30 minutes, and the top two tiers are listed at 90 minutes because they include longer treatments. Our pedicure page lists what each tier includes, so you can choose by the time you have.

  • Classic Pedicure, from $35: listed at 30 minutes
  • Herbal Pedicure, from $45: listed at 45 minutes
  • The Kemes, from $55: listed at 60 minutes
  • VIP Pedicure, from $65: listed at 75 minutes
  • VIP Plus, from $75 and Royal Pedicure, from $90: each listed at 90 minutes

How long do gel, Gel-X, acrylic and dip take?

Enhancements take longer than a polish manicure because the nail is built or coated in layers. These are the times listed on our nail enhancement page:

  • Dip powder, from $50: 45 to 60 minutes
  • Builder gel, from $60: 60 minutes
  • Acrylic full set, from $50: 60 to 90 minutes
  • Gel-X extensions, from $65: 75 to 90 minutes
  • Acrylic fill, from $45: 45 minutes
  • Nail repair, from $5: 10 to 15 minutes
  • Safe removal of an enhancement, from $15: 20 to 30 minutes

What adds time to a visit

Most of the difference between a quick visit and a long one comes from a few things you can plan for.

  • Nail art. Accent designs start at $5 per nail, and detailed or freehand art takes longer. If you have a design in mind, book ahead rather than walking in.
  • Chrome, cat-eye and French tips. These are add-ons to your base service. They change the finish, so ask for timing when you book. See chrome nails and cat-eye nails.
  • An old set that has to come off first. Safe removal is listed at 20 to 30 minutes on its own.
  • A reference photo. Bringing a screenshot or Pinterest pin saves the time spent deciding in the chair.
  • A busy day. Friday and Saturday are our busiest days, so a service can run longer than its listed time. Weekday visits are usually easier to fit around a tight schedule.

Getting a manicure on your lunch break

If you work nearby, the 30-minute Classic Manicure and Classic Pedicure are the services built for a tight break. We are about 4 minutes by car from Port St. Lucie City Hall and about 5 minutes from the Gatlin Blvd and Port St. Lucie Blvd offices (Google Maps estimates in light traffic). A gel manicure listed at 45 to 60 minutes can fit in an hour, but it is tight, so book it for the start of your break.

We keep a page for exactly this: lunch-break nails in Port St. Lucie. Tell the desk you are on a lunch break when you book or walk in, and they will say what is realistic.

Manicure and pedicure together

If you want both, our Kemes Combo is $92 and the combo page says to plan for about 105 minutes. The combo page says many of our chairs let the pedicure soak and massage run while your manicure is finished, so it often feels faster than booking the two separately. See the combo page for what is included.

How to make sure it fits your schedule

  • Pick the service by its listed time, not just its price: the Classic tiers are the 30-minute ones.
  • Say your time limit when you book. "I have 45 minutes" is enough for the desk to suggest a fit.
  • Book for the start of your break, not the middle, so a small delay does not cost you the visit.
  • Call (772) 621-9977 on the day if you are unsure. We will tell you how soon we can take you.
  • On Sundays we close at 5:00 PM, so the last visits start earlier than that; for a long service, arrive early in the afternoon.
